Intro:

Attributed to the ancient Chinese sage Lao Tse, the Tao Te Ching is a foundational text of Daoist philosophy, composed of 81 short chapters traditionally dated to the 6th century BC. Its core exploration revolves around the concept of the Dao — the fundamental principle underlying the universe — and De, the virtue or integrity that arises from living in harmony with it. It speaks of simplicity, spontaneity, and the quiet power of non-coercive action.

We recommend it for those interested in contemplative traditions, as it offers a lens on life that values stillness over noise and depth over accumulation. It is a text that rewards slow, repeated reading.

FAQ

What is the return policy?

We want you to love what you’ve chosen. If it doesn’t feel right, you have 30 days to request a return.

  • Eligibility: Items must be unused, in original packaging, with tags and proof of purchase. Buyer covers return shipping.
  • Thangkas: Due to their hand-painted and sacred nature, Thangkas are only returnable if damaged or defective. Please inspect upon arrival and contact us within 7 days.
  • Customized items (e.g., engraved singing bowls) are non-returnable unless damaged.

For full details and to start a return, please visit our [Refund Policy page] or email us at temple1st@outlook.com.

What should I do if my item arrives damaged or breaks?

We’re sorry to hear that — and we’ll make it right.

Please contact us at temple1st@outlook.com within the time limits below, with:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photo(s) or a short video showing the damage

Time limits to report damage:

  • Singing bowls, incense holders, Zen items (sand garden, fan, etc.): within 7 days of delivery
  • Thangkas: within 48 hours of delivery (due to their hand-painted and sacred nature)

What happens next:

  • For all products except Thangkas:
We will send a free replacement or issue a full refund if a replacement isn’t available. You do notneed to return the damaged item unless we specifically request it (e.g., for quality investigation).
  • For Thangkas:
If damage is confirmed, we will offer a full refund or free replacement (if available). You must return the damaged Thangka to us (we will provide the return address). Return shipping cost is your responsibility unless the damage was caused by our error (e.g., wrong item sent). Once we receive the returned Thangka and verify the damage, we will process the refund or send the replacement.
  • Note: We do not accept returns or exchanges for Thangkas due to change of mind — variations in color or pattern are part of their handmade character.

We pack every order carefully, but if something goes wrong in transit, we take responsibility.

When can I receive the order?

We ship worldwide from our warehouse in China. Estimated delivery times vary by destination:

  • United States & Europe: 7–14 business days
  • Australia & Southeast Asia: 7–12 business days
  • Other regions: 10–20 business days

For custom engraved singing bowls: Please add 3–5 business days for processing before shipping.

All orders include tracking information, which you’ll receive via email once your parcel ships. Please note that customs clearance may occasionally cause minor delays.

If you need an order by a specific date, contact us at temple1st@outlook.com before purchasing — we’ll let you know if it’s possible.

Where are your products manufactured?

Our products are handmade in their regions of origin, with respect for traditional craftsmanship.

Singing bowls — Hand-hammered in the Kathmandu Valley, Nepal, by a family workshop that has passed down their skills for generations.
Thangkas — Painted by master artists in Nepal and Tibet, using traditional mineral pigments on cotton canvas.
Zen items (incense holders, Zen gardens, palm leaf fans, etc.) — Crafted by small workshops across East Asia, using natural materials like ceramic, bamboo, and sand.
We visit or maintain direct contact with every workshop we work with, ensuring fair wages and ethical production. If you’d like to know more about a specific product’s origin, please reach out — we’re happy to share.

How much does the shipping cost?

Shipping costs depend on your location and the total weight of your order.

  • United States, Europe, Australia, and most other regions:
Calculated at checkout based on weight and destination. Typical cost for a single singing bowl (2–3 kg) ranges from USD18 to 35. Lighter items (incense, fans, small accessories) cost less — usually 8–15USD.
  • Southeast Asia (e.g., Singapore, Japan, South Korea):
Usually USD12–25 for a singing bowl; smaller items 5–10USD.

You’ll see the exact shipping fee before you complete your purchase — no surprises.

Note: We do not offer free shipping at this time, but we keep our rates as low as possible by using economical carrier services with tracking. Buyers are responsible for any applicable customs duties or taxes (shown at checkout).
